ufufuufufufu... time to discuss about EOY! Especially for those who wish to cosplay (or at least learn how to)

EOY 2009 : "An Extraordinary Journey"

[ AnimeWorks updates for EOY ]

- We were given a booth! REJOICE~
- The best idea suggested thus far is airbrush tatoos of anime-related items like kon, a chibi-fied character or sth like that and we can do it! so yeaa. We'll be looking into this.
- For comics side, they will handle the merchandises design.
- I think we should have like sign off with a "EOY 2009" to help promote EOY and help thank Tim, the chairperson, for giving us a booth
- All coming down to help us will be having a unified theme.

Suggestions so far are as follows (pick the one u like better):

--> Bandana group (we can find anime/funny prints bandana if it's not too ex?)


--> Ouendan (cheerleading squad with white gloves and headbands look)


--> Happi Coat (see kawaii boy boy XD)


--> Fake Tattooo
Suggested by Charissa. It sounds plausible and interesting + it kinda tie in with the service we're providing XD. I was thinking it need not be standalone aka 2 of these options combined. We're starting our own "fairytail" mark wheee~

i think it'll be pretty funny if we randomly grab someone who's not in cosplay and pretend with utmost enthu-ness that he/she is the spitting image of someone from a random anime and that they're the best cosplayer ever. ahahaha

it was illustrated in a page of SZS i believe

For full effect, get some of our club members to pose as photographers and start snapping shots of him. Maybe other photgraphers will fall for the bait and we'll see whether we can get a wall of photographers to form.


Or for more wtf-ness, we gather some of our non-cosplaying members to pose in the middle of the convention area and let our club's cosplayers take their photos.

Well, my question is, anyone participating in competition (eg art) or performing? I've always wanted to take part but not enough bravery. ._.

I hope we are. Apparently the EOY committee is wondering if our club can help out in the illustration bit. o.o I'm not sure how we can help but Siyu and I will be going to talk with him so if u can see any way we can contribute to EOY, please say it.

Haha I'm now rather excited over EOY! Previously, I only go with a few of my friends, and since they've left the country I had thought I'd have to go alone. Well, now I can go with the club.

Hmm not sure what we can help the committee with. Are they looking more for participation or crew/staff/logistics etc? (somehow I am interested in performance but I will just die with embarrassment on the actual day. -_- )

Curiously, I was wondering why NUSCAS is listed on the website... wonder what they are doing. Booth and?

Same as hitsugaya_vk, I'm cosplaying too for EOY with my team, but would be glad to help out if help is needed! (I think my costume is fairly flexible =3=)

Yay excites~ XD my friends keep pang sehing me for EOY so now's the chance yeah! hahas

And they already employed an external events company to organise all their logistics so that's out of the question :S so I think more participation. They commented that they looking into focusing more of the illustration aspect and would like to speak with us but that seems to be more like CoEn kinda stuff. Hence why Siyu and I will be going with Weiliang to meet him.

But back to topic, i was thinking of what can WE @ animeworks contribute... hmmm... so maybe some crazy stuff to liven up the place XD. hahas

They are onboard as co-organisers. They provide consultation on running the event, since they have alot of experience with local events as well as being well connected in the local scene. They are also helping to set up an art exhibition segment for EOY, that is kind of a spin off from Extravaganza. During the intermediate period back in June when AFA still had not really confirmed they would be hosting Extravaganza, EOY would have been the back up venue to hold the event.

Woo! I don't mind illustrating a bit here and there.

Also cosplaying with my friends already though. Hmm...

I wonder if we could get the illustrations and then animate them and have EOY staff show put it on the screen as sorta "background" when the event is ongoing?
