ufufuufufufu... time to discuss about EOY! Especially for those who wish to cosplay (or at least learn how to)

EOY 2009 : "An Extraordinary Journey"

[ AnimeWorks updates for EOY ]

- We were given a booth! REJOICE~

- The best idea suggested thus far is airbrush tatoos of anime-related items like kon, a chibi-fied character or sth like that and we can do it! so yeaa. We'll be looking into this.

- For comics side, they will handle the merchandises design.

2nd Karaoke Session!!

After a successful first outing, of course there has to be another one. And when better than after our exams? Which is why we will be having our 2nd karaoke outing when everyone's paper are over. XD

As I've said in the previous thread, the lyrics are in Japanese, so unless you can read Japanese, you'd either have to memorise, or just print out the lyrics to the songs that you want to sing. Or bring along your laptop and read the lyrics off the screen there like a certain someone. Ahaha. ...

Art Fiesta Idea Generation

As some of you may know, Art Fiesta is a big VAS bazaar like event usually over the space of three days in the latter half of the second semester that the entire Visual Arts Society participates in. Some of the things we've done during art Fiesta over the years, AnimeWorks and Comics Ensemble side at least, is to help sell Anime Merchandise, put up exhibitions, guess the anime song competitions and others. You can take a look at http://www.phototour.sg/Events/ARTS.html for a little phototour ...

Who's up for Regular meetings?!

Heys all! Denise here! Sooo since comics ensemble have started having cool names like CoEn and regular comic drawing meetings, I thought we should do the same (aka not lose to them XD)!

Hence I would like to see the response should we hold regular meetings and also what we should do @ meetings. These are some ideas I have came up with:

1. Screen anime

2. Prepare for cosplay events

3. Occasionally join comics in their weekly drawing sessions

4. Prepare our item for publication

Karaoke Session this Recess Week!

So, one of the objectives that Denise had in mind was karaoke sessions. Well, no time like the present, I say. Cancel that, make it the upcoming recess week, where we do not have to go to school. X_X

Besides,it'd be a good time for us subcommers ( and members, if they want to) to get together and have some fun. It doesn't matter if you can't sing. No one can....Well, if you have a great voice then I suppose you could, but I can't. I'd probably kill people with my voice, but I digress. It ...

AnimeWorks/Comics Ensemble(?) 2nd Blog is GO!

As some of you may know, we are thinking of putting up a 2nd blog for AnimeWorks and possibly Comics Ensemble if they want to. The reason for this is that we want to keep the focus of the main blog to reporting club and local events, acting as the newsfront for our subclub.

The 2nd blog will serve as the mouthpiece of our member bloggers, more in line with an actual blog. Basically, it will be like an irregular "newsletter" for members to voice their opinion of anime/comics, ...

Anime Screening Event

I wanted to suggest that we do a theme based screening of anime. So each event day/week we screen a few movies/episodes from a series connected to that theme.

First we come up with a list of animes/movies for each catergory, then form a poll for it. E.g. Mecha/Mahou Shoujo/Sports/Scifi/Ghibli n other artistic films/romance/horror/mystery/comedy/action/fighting to showcase the variety of anime available.

My view of trying to promote anime is that we want ppl to know that it is not just ...
