2nd Karaoke Session!!

After a successful first outing, of course there has to be another one. And when better than after our exams? Which is why we will be having our 2nd karaoke outing when everyone's paper are over. XD

As I've said in the previous thread, the lyrics are in Japanese, so unless you can read Japanese, you'd either have to memorise, or just print out the lyrics to the songs that you want to sing. Or bring along your laptop and read the lyrics off the screen there like a certain someone. Ahaha.

I'm aiming for the 9th of December, 1.30 pm. Place will be the Cash Studio over at the Ming Arcade. Timing is subject to change.

Date and time will be on the 9th of December at 12.45 pm. Meeting place is at Orchard MRT. I'll be wearing my Gurren Lagann jacket, so even if you do not know my face, you will be able to find me. When everyone has arrived, we will walk over to the Ming Acarade and reach at 1.20 pm (its quite far....T_T)

Prices, as Joan has so kindly posted for us, are as follows:

$30 for the first 3 persons, and an additional $5 for any additional person. It would be for 3 hours, but with any luck, we might be able to extend for free, so hope for that.

Indeed. Also, learning from our previous experience, if we want to sing duets (which I do...ahaha), we should put up videos here for people to learn the song. Duets are meant to be sung with another, not alone. X_X

It doesn't matter if you cannot sing, all you need is know how the song goes, and lots of guts. Worst come to worst just borrow a laptop (trust me, some people confirm will bring), look at some lyrics website and sing from there.

Note to Stifler: Maybe we can shift the event to the same date as JCSS registration? Morning go register, afternoon start "learning" XP

JCS Registration don't start so early I THINK. Because there are people like me who postphone exams to a later date. So the results would most prob be out in mid-Dec. After that then can have registration.

For new students starting to learn Elementary, registration starts in the last week of Dec or beg of Jan if I'm not wrong.

@KL: Don't worry if you don't know the songs. I don't know half the songs I sang there the last time. Only the tune. Just whack only.

ohohoho...its not that i don't know the dance or most of it at least (i think) its that paiseh to do solo~~ hahaha...lets start with something simpler like hare hare yukai...get a group of us to dance along to the song. go my way and do-dai from idol master i also know somewhat...then there's lucky star's motteke sailor fuku...i dun think i want to count seikan hikou...it feels to static...and no even though nakajima megumi's be yourself has a dance i dun feel like learning that...but the danjo dance seems somewhat fun to do ne~ and u can sound like ur rapping at the same time XD

oh yea i nearly forgot...there are variations of danjo....namely dandan and jojo =_=;; u can pretty much guess the lyrics variations if you know dan is short for dansei (gentleman), and jo for josei (lady)...

U can dance if u want to. Don't think I'll be joining in the dance. I'm just more concerned with the space constraint and number of people going. Hahaha. The ming arcade room is a bit smaller if I'm not wrong and SUPER cold.

Still more than a week till exams end for me. But with AFA still fresh on my mind and inspired by the I Love Anisong concert, I've come up with a list of songs I'm looking for people (especially people who've been to the concert, you know who you are) to sing with during the karaoke session.

Unsurprisingly they're mostly ANIKi songs, but hey, they're short and easy to learn, also fun to sing along , the more the merrier after all, and especially if we can accompany with actions as well. Even if you can't remember the whole song, can join along for the key lines and choruses. Anyway here's the tentative list, I may or may not attempt all of them.
